ALMS race at Mid-Ohio 2009

Canon 40D using 70-200mm f/4L IS USM @ f/4, 1/1250 ISO 400I went to Mid-Ohio for the first time in a few years.  I took my son aged 12, who has never been to the track before.  I think the sensory stimulation was good for him.  Playing Xbox 360 can’t come close to what it’s really like at the track, the speeds and noise levels are in your face.

I think he enjoyed himself more than he thought he would.  The best was getting the paddock passes, and having his photo taken with Al Unser Jr., and 2009 Le Mans winner David Brabham.  Standing next to Danica Patrick did not seem so important after that.

The new GT2 Corvettes managed 2nd and 4th in their debut race in that class.
