Apple Issues Statement on “Baby Shaker” App
Friday, April 24, 2009 at 1:22AM Apple has officially apologised in a statement today over a 99-cent iPhone application called “Baby Shaker” which went on sale on the App Store yesterday but was quickly removed.
The application from developer Sikalosoft asked players to quiet a crying baby by shaking the device.
Apple spokesperson Natalie Kerris said in a statement that the game was “deeply offensive” and “We sincerely apologize for this mistake.”
I find it amazing that a disgusting application such as this was even considered, and worse yet approved.
